Dustin Poirier Avoids Surgery, Only Out Three Weeks

UFC lightweight contender Dustin Poirier announced via Twitter today that he will not require surgery on the injured hip that forced him out of his fight against Nate Diaz at UFC 230.

According to Poirier, he will have stem cells injected into his hip on Monday. The recovery time is estimated at only three weeks, with “The Diamond” able to return to training immediately after.
