According to UFC President Dana White, Conor McGregor has already requested a rematch against current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor via fourth-round submission this past Saturday night in the main event of UFC 229. After the fight, Khabib jumped out of the Octagon to attack members of McGregor’s team and a brawl between both teams immediately ensued. The NSAC is still in the process of investigating the situation.

Dana White spoke to ESPN on Monday, stating that McGregor has already reached out to White in hopes of having another crack at “The Eagle”. He also adds that former interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson could potentially square off with Nurmagomedov next.

White told ESPN: “We have to see what's going to happen with Khabib and this whole mess. But Conor McGregor has already called me, wanting a rematch. That's what Conor has asked for. We'll see what happens with Khabib and what's next. Tony Ferguson looked amazing. Those two have been lined up three different times to fight and it hasn't happened. We'll see how things play out."
