UFC flyweight champion Henry “The Messenger” Cejudo appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast on Wednesday to discuss the status of his division following the trade of longtime flyweight king Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson to ONE.

According to Cejudo, UFC President Dana White recently told him: “We’re going to take you up on that challenge for you to go up against T.J., but this is what the company has been thinking about (eliminating the flyweight division) for while.”

Cejudo told Rogan that he expects to fight current bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw next at either 125 or 135 lbs, depending on Dillashaw’s preference. Either way, “The Messenger” believes that the end of the flyweight division in the UFC could be near.
