Bellator middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi is set to defend his title against Rafael Lovato Jr. at Bellator 214 on January 26. The bout will be featured prior to the Bellator Heavyweight World Grand Prix final between Fedor Emelianenko and Ryan Bader.

Mousasi (45-6-2) is currently riding an eight-fight win streak, most recently defeating Bellator welterweight champion Rory MacDonald via second-round TKO in September. Mousasi holds victories over the likes of MacDonald, Jacaré Souza, Mark Hunt, Dan Henderson, Vitor Belfort, Chris Weidman and many other notable names throughout an MMA career that began back in 2003.

Lovato (9-0) made his Bellator debut in March of last year and has gone 5-0 with four stoppage victories since joining the promotion. He’s coming off of a third-round submission win over John Salter in September.
