Anderson Silva will make his Octagon return to battle rising star Israel Adesanya at UFC 234 on February 9. The bout is expected to serve as the co-main event in Melbourne, Australia.

Silva (34-8-1NC) is coming off of a unanimous decision victory over Derek Brunson at UFC 208 in February of 2017. “The Spider” is the longest-reining champion in UFC middleweight history and holds wins over the likes of Rich Franklin (x2), Dan Henderson, Forrest Griffin, Chael Sonnen (x2), Vitor Belfort, Yushin Okami and many other notable names throughout an MMA career that spans all the way back to 1997.

Adesanya (15-0) is also coming off of a victory over Brunson, winning via TKO at UFC 230 earlier this month. “The Last Stylebender” has gone 4-0 since joining the UFC in February of this year with notable wins over Brunson and Brad Tavares.
