Jose Aldo vs. Renato Moicano is in the works for UFC on ESPN+ 2 on February 2 in Fortaleza, Brazil.

Aldo (27-4) is coming off of a first-round TKO victory over Jeremy Stephens in July. Prior to his win over Stephens, Aldo suffered back-to-back third-round TKO losses to current featherweight champion Max Holloway. Aldo is the inaugural and longest-reigning featherweight champion in UFC history and holds an Octagon record of 9-3 since joining the promotion in 2011.

Moicano (13-1-1) is coming off of back-to-back wins over Calvin Kattar and Cub Swanson, most recently defeating Swanson via first-round submission at UFC 227 in August. Moicano served as the alternate for the Max Holloway vs. Brian Ortega featherweight title fight at UFC 231 (although Moicano missed weight and did not make another attempt since he was not needed for the event). He holds an Octagon record of 5-1.
