Matt Mitrione vs. Sergei Kharitonov is slated as the main event for a newly-announced Bellator event on February 15 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Bellator will run the same venue the following night with a card headlined by Michael Page (13-0) vs. Paul Daley (40-16-2).

Mitrione (13-6) is coming off of a unanimous decision loss to Ryan Bader at Bellator 207 in October. Prior to the loss against Bader, Mitrione had strung together a four-fight win streak that included a first-round KO victory over MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko.

Kharitonov (28-6-1NC) is currently riding a five-fight win streak, most recently defeating Roy Nelson via first-round KO, also at Bellator 207. He holds notable wins over the likes of Nelson, Fabrício Werdum, Alistair Overeem, and Andrei Arlovski throughout an MMA career that spans all the way back to August of 2000.
