A rematch between heavyweights Francis Ngannou and Curtis Blaydes has been agreed to for UFC Beijing on November 24. Ngannou won their first fight back in April of 2016 via second-round TKO (due to a doctor stoppage).

Ngannou (11-3) is coming off of a unanimous decision loss to Derrick Lewis at UFC 226 in July. Prior to his loss against Lewis, Ngannou unsuccessfully challenged former champion Stipe Miocic for the UFC heavyweight championship at UFC 220. He holds an octagon record of 6-2 and earned 2017 Knockout of the Year honors for his first-round KO of Alistair Overeem last year.

Blaydes (10-1-1NC) has a chance to avenge the only loss of his professional career when he takes on Ngannou for the second time. His three most recent bouts were victories over veteran fighters Oleksiy Oliynyk, Mark Hunt, and Alistair Overeem. Blaydes earned a Performance of the Night bonus for his third-round TKO win over Overeem in his last outing.
