Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone defeated up-and-coming prospect Alexander “The Great” Hernandez via second-round TKO at UFC Brooklyn. After his win, Cerrone used his time on the microphone to call out “The Notorious” Conor McGregor for a potential showdown. Cowboy stated: “I want a top-five [ranked opponent next]. I even want Conor [McGregor] if he’ll agree to me. Conor would be awesome.”

McGregor quickly responded to Cowboy’s call-out via Twitter, seemingly accepting the challenge: “For a fight like that Donald, I’ll fight you. Congratulations.”

Cerrone has been advocating for a bout against McGregor for quite some time, with the two planting the seeds for grudge match through verbal jabs over the past handful of years. But for the first time, both fighters seem ready to make it happen.
