A pivotal heavyweight matchup between Francis Ngannou and Junior dos Santos has been added to UFC 239 on July 6.

Ngannou (13-3) is coming off of back-to-back wins over Curtis Blaydes and Cain Velasquez, most recently defeating Velasquez via first-round TKO last month. “The Predator” has also earned notable Octagon victories over Andrei Arlovski and Alistair Overeem. He sits at #2 on the official UFC heavyweight fighter rankings.

JDS (21-5) is currently riding a three-fight win streak, most recently defeating Derrick Lewis via second-round TKO earlier this month. “Cigano” holds notable Octagon victories over the likes of Lewis, Fabrício Werdum, Mirko Cro Cop, Shane Carwin, Cain Velasquez, Frank Mir, Mark Hunt, Stipe Miocic, and many others. The former champion sits at #3 on the official UFC heavyweight fighter rankings.
