Former UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett officially signed a multi-fight contract with Bellator on Monday during ESPN’s Helwani Show. “The Warmaster” did not disclose the number of bouts that he agreed to but hinted that he could debut as early as June.

Barnett (35-8) is coming off of a third-round submission win over Andrei Arlovski back in September of 2016. He was granted his release from the UFC last June after a USADA suspension that he was ultimately cleared of. Barnett holds victories over the likes of Arlovski, Dan Severn, Randy Couture, Mark Hunt, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Sergei Kharitonov, Frank Mir, and many others throughout an MMA career that spans all the way back to 1997.
