Corey Anderson vs. Johnny Walker Targeted for UFC 244

A light heavyweight showdown between Corey Anderson and Johnny Walker is in the works for UFC 244 on November 2. ESPN’s Brett Okamoto reported the news of the matchup.

Anderson (12-4) is riding a 3-fight win streak, most recently defeating Ilir Latifi by unanimous decision at UFC 232 last December. He holds victories over Latifi, Patrick Cummins and Glover Teixeira on his current streak. He sits at #8 on the official UFC light heavyweight fighter rankings.

Walker (17-3) is riding a 9-fight win streak, most recently defeating Misha Cirkunov via first round TKO at UFC 235 in March. A product of Dana White’s Contender Series, Walker holds KO/TKO victories over Cirkunov, Khalil Rountree Jr. and Justin Ledet since officially joining the UFC last November. He sits at #12 on the official UFC light heavyweight fighter rankings.
